ORAL PRESENTATION

I think that my oral presentation was interesting because we use a PowerPoint with very attraction images and the content was correct. The PowerPoint helped me for do a good work because of that I was not so nervous when the people looked the screen.

When I did the presentation I was a bit nervous but I looked to the public and the teacher.

Occasionally I read my notes but only when I was lost.

The structure had a good organization with simple ideas where we used a correct language, the pronunciation was ok and the vocabulary was understood.

PODCAST: DESCRIPTION

Sergi is a particullary good friend. He's tall, his hair is brown and his eyes are brown. He's very friendly and so he has friends. He really likes summer but he doesn't like winter at all. Sergi has played in a footbaall team for a few years. Since he was little he really liked football and his favourite team is FCB. He's not very lazy and he's rather good at studying. I'm happy to know him because he is a really good friend and I have know him since we were at nursery school.

Dear Mrs Pintó,

I’m writing to express my opinions about changes in the school calendar.

I agree with the idea because if you decide to change the calendar, me and the other students will have more or less one week in February to rest after studying and exams. Also I agree because we will have more time for winter sports, for example skiing. Additionally perhaps the level of studies will be better because we will not be so tired.

On the other hand I disagree because we will not have the possibility to celebrate the traditional party in Castelló, Medievals. I think this because every year me and my friends enjoy the three days o festival and now we will have to study.

Finally I’d rather you didn’t change the calendar because now the system function, why change it?

Hello my name is Rafa Girón . I live in Castelló D’Empuries and I have 16 years old. Today I will talk to you about Swine Flu.


Swine flu is a type of virus; this is common in pigs and originated in Mexico. Mexico was the first country infected. Now travel is so easy that thousands of people are in danger of contamination. The media say that if Swine Flu continues to expansion this can affect two thousand millions of people.

Here you can see that many countries are infected. And that you can see the graph that shows numbers of infected and died.

The symptoms of swine flu are the same as normal flu. There are high temperatures, sickness, cough, headaches and throat infections.


The doctors suggest that for the prevention of swine flu we can washing hands, wearing gloves and masks and vaccinations. But is all this necessary. I think that swine flu is not more dangerous than normal flu, because every year more people die from normal flu than swine flu.

MY EVALUATION


I think that my oral presentation note is 6.

I think that the positives of my presentation are; when I spoke, my pronunciation was good and I did not speak to fast. I didn’t read all the time and I didn’t look all the time at the teacher or screen. I used a power point; this had a good structure because it had an introduction, theme information and a conclusion. I think the theme was interesting because it is theme interesting to people now, it affects everyone.

I think the negatives of my presentation are; I need to give more information and make the presentation longer. I could have used a different variety of words to improve the structure. I did not use: firstly, secondly etc. I need to practice the presentation more.

A COMPRASION OF ADRIAN MOLE AND THIRTEEN

Adrian and Tracy are thirteen. They are adolescents whit problems. Both are in a difficult situation, because they have problems with their parents at home. They also have problems with friends because they are a bad influence for Adrian and Tracy.

Finally Adrian is happy, his parents return to be united and finally Tracy understrands that this style of live is not her. Also her parents return to be united.

The main difference is: Adrian Mole is written with humour and easy to read and thirteen is a disturbing story. Thirteen is an movie extreme.
